Coffee and Dubstep Belated: TheFatRat slicing up some tracks

March 6, 2012

Chronicle

February 22, 2012

Chronicle (2012) – Dane DeHaan, Alex Russell, Michael B. Jordan

Dir: Josh Trank, Wri: Max Landis

I think if I ever called up Hollywood with an imaginary “Make me my perfect film please” ticket, I probably wouldn’t end up with Chronicle. If, however, such a ticket existed, it would probably be filled with all sorts of restrictions, caveats, and disclaimers, ultimately altering the final product so it wouldn’t really be your “perfect film” (such is the disappointment of life) – although it would be close. And I think if I cashed in this more realistic version of the ticket, I may well have ended up talking to Josh Trank and been responsible for Chronicle being made after all.  Read more…

New Job. Politeness Race.

February 10, 2012

I guess I should clarify a few things. Well, not that I’m under any obligation to clarify anything but I deem it at least fair that I justify why I haven’t posted anything after a seemingly promising increase in momentum.

I’ve been busy.

Wow! What a great explanation. That’s that sorted. Except not really, of course. I’ve been busy in ways that I’m not particularly proud of. I don’t mean criminal activity, or anything morally questionable, I just mean that I had a particular image in my head of what I’d be doing after I graduated, and this isn’t quite it. In all seriousness I was too busy. I’ll try and get it done by this weekend. Why am I even explaining this? This is for my benefit, no-one else cares.

And now for something unrelated

January 26, 2012

And pretty depressing. I’m not going to make a point of posting personal details on this blog – I’m here to talk about films and music, damn it, but I just couldn’t help myself with this. It’s oddly amusing, in a kind of blackly comic, soul-crushing kind of way. Basically, I’m filling in an online application for a job at Read more…

Coffee and Dubstep 9 – Couple of my favourites.

January 26, 2012

Since I’ve been quite busy writing profiles and generally trying to get my own life in order, I haven’t explored much new or recent stuff lately. I’ve listened to some stuff here and there, of course – I never stop – but this seems like a nice enough opportunity to post some classic dubstep breakfast tracks out of my own personal collection.
